INGREDIENTS

- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
Vegetables
- đź§… 1/4 onion, sliced
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp mirin
STEPS
Slice the onion thinly. Pierce the chicken thigh skin with a fork several times and cut it in half. Rub with sake, salt, and pepper, then coat with cornstarch.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the chicken skin-side down and cook until browned. Flip the chicken, add grated ginger, soy sauce, and mirin, mix well, cover, and cook on low heat for 2 minutes.
Add the sliced onion, mix, cover again, and cook for another 2 minutes.
Once the chicken is cooked through, uncover and increase the heat to thicken the sauce and coat the chicken.
