INGREDIENTS
Rice
- 🍚 2 cups soaked rice
Meat
- 🥩 100g sliced beef
Vegetables
- 200g boiled bamboo shoot
Oil
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Seasoning
- 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- đź’§ sufficient water
- sufficient kinome (Japanese herb)
Additional Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- đź§‚ a pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
STEPS
Cut the bamboo shoot into bite-sized pieces.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan, add bamboo shoot, and cook on medium heat until browned. Add beef and cook until its color changes. Push to the side and add soy sauce to the empty space, stir quickly to combine.
In a rice cooker, add soaked rice, seasoning ingredients, and water up to the 2-cup mark. Mix well, flatten the rice, and spread the cooked bamboo shoot and beef mixture on top. Cook as usual.
Mix the cooked rice thoroughly, serve in bowls, and garnish with kinome.
