INGREDIENTS
Seafood
- 1 piece mentaiko (50g)
Vegetables
- 300g nagaimo
Condiments
- 1/2 tbsp mentsuyu (3x concentrated)
Starch
- 2 tbsp potato starch
Oil
- 1 tbsp salad oil
STEPS
Make a cut in the mentaiko and remove the contents.
Place nagaimo in a plastic bag and crush it with a rolling pin, leaving some chunks. Add the remaining ingredients except for salad oil and mix well to form a batter.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the batter and flatten it. Cover with a lid and cook for about 3 minutes until browned. Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes until browned.
