INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🥩 130g hanwoo beef
- đź§… 1/2 onion
- 🌱 1 scallion
- 🥬 1 handful cabbage
- 🥚 1 egg
- 150g flour
- đź’§ 100ml water
- Mayonnaise as needed
- Tonkatsu sauce as needed
- Bonito flakes as needed
Seasonings
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 0.5 tbsp sesame oil
- 0.5 tbsp sugar
- đź§„ 0.5 tbsp minced garlic
- Pinch of pepper
STEPS
Prepare 130g hanwoo beef and cut it into small pieces. Marinate with soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, minced garlic, and pepper for 30 minutes.
Chop cabbage, onion, and scallion into small pieces.
Prepare the batter by mixing flour and water.
Combine chopped vegetables with the batter and mix well.
Stir-fry the marinated beef in a pan until cooked.
Heat a pan with oil on high heat. Pour half of the batter, add the cooked beef on top, and cover with the remaining batter. Cook for 6–7 minutes on medium heat, flipping once.
Once golden brown on both sides, transfer to a plate. Spread tonkatsu sauce generously, drizzle mayonnaise, and top with bonito flakes.
