INGREDIENTS
Cooking Oil
- As needed salad oil
Meat Mixture
- 200g ground meat
- đź§… 1/2 onion, minced
- 3g dried hijiki, rehydrated
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- đź§‚ 1/3 tsp salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 🥚 1 egg, beaten
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp water
STEPS
Mince the onion and microwave it uncovered at 600W for 1 minute. Let it cool. Rehydrate the hijiki in water and drain.
Mix all meat mixture ingredients in a bowl and form into bite-sized balls.
Heat salad oil to 170°C in a pot, ensuring it is about 3cm deep. Fry the meatballs until golden brown and floating.
In a frying pan, combine all sauce ingredients and simmer over medium heat until thickened. Add the fried meatballs and coat evenly.
