INGREDIENTS
Topping
- 🌽 4 cups cornflake crumbs
- 🧀 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 🧈 ¼ cup butter, melted (optional)
Filling
- 🍗 10 cooked skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into strips
- 🧂 Salt and ground black pepper to taste
- 🧀 6 cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 🍖 1 pound cooked ham, diced
- 🍄 ½ pound sliced fresh mushrooms
- 🧅 1 bunch green onions, sliced
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 🧈 2 tablespoons butter, melted (optional)
STEPS
Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Mix cornflake crumbs, Parmesan cheese, and 1/4 cup melted butter in a large bowl. Spread 2/3 of the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
Layer half the chicken strips over the crumb base. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add half the Swiss cheese, then the ham, followed by mushrooms and green onions.
Mix cream of chicken soup and sour cream in a bowl, then spread over the green onion layer.
Add the rest of the chicken strips, Swiss cheese, and top with the remaining crumb mixture. Drizzle with melted butter if desired.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake until bubbling, cheese melted, and topping is golden (about 15 minutes).
