INGREDIENTS
Pie Crust
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 🧈 ½ cup unsalted butter, cold
- 🧂 ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup cold water
Filling
- 1 ½ cups raisins
- ½ cup apple cider
- ⅓ cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped grapefruit peel without white pith layer
- ¾ cup white sugar
- ½ crushed graham cracker
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
Streusel Topping
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- 🧈 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ⅓ cup white sugar
- ½ crushed graham cracker
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 cup cold butter, and salt in a bowl with a fork until very crumbly. Stir in water, 1 tablespoon at a time, just until mixture holds together; stir with a fork. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and roll into a 10-inch circle. Place and adjust the dough in a 9-inch pie plate.
Combine apples, raisins, apple cider, orange juice, and grapefruit peel in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until apples are soft, about 15 minutes. Stir in sugar, crushed graham cracker, cinnamon, and cloves; mix well.
Combine remaining flour, 6 tablespoons butter, 1/3 cup sugar, and remaining crushed graham cracker in a bowl, stirring until streusel looks like fine crumbs. Pour apple mincemeat filling into the prepared pie crust; sprinkle evenly with streusel topping.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes; reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake until topping is lightly browned, about 30 minutes more. Cool before serving.

💡 Make sure the butter for the crust is very cold for a flaky result.Cooling the pie before serving enhances flavor and makes it easier to serve. You can substitute grapefruit peel with lemon or orange zest for a different citrus flavor.
