INGREDIENTS
Bread
- 🍞 10 cm French bread
Meat
- 🍗 2 chicken thighs (400g)
Coating
- 2 tbsp potato starch
Oil
- 3 tbsp olive oil
Marinade
- 2 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp grated ginger
Tomato Sauce
- 🍅 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
- 🥛 150 ml milk
- 🧄 1 tsp grated garlic
- 🧂 1 tsp sugar
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- Pinch of pepper
Cheese Sauce
- 🧀 100g pizza cheese
- 🥛 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp all-purpose flour
Garnish
- Pinch of chopped parsley
- Pinch of black pepper
STEPS
Cut the French bread in half and carve a circular indentation in the center using a fork.
Trim excess fat from chicken thighs and cut into bite-sized pieces. Marinate with sake, soy sauce, and ginger for 10 minutes.
Coat the marinated chicken with potato starch. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil on a hot plate and pan-fry the chicken until golden brown on both sides.
Remove excess oil from the hot plate and add diced tomatoes and garlic. Simmer for 5 minutes, then add milk and season with sugar, salt, and pepper.
Mix pizza cheese and flour in a bowl. Heat milk in a microwave for 20 seconds, then combine with the cheese mixture.
Fill the French bread with cheese sauce and toast in a toaster for 2–3 minutes until golden brown.
Place the chicken and toasted bread on top of the tomato sauce. Garnish with parsley and black pepper.
