INGREDIENTS
Meat
- 🥩 1 ½ pounds ground beef
Seasonings
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 🧂 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Vegetables
- 🧅 ½ onion, chopped
- 🧄 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups baby spinach
Pasta
- 🍝 1 (16 ounce) package cavatelli pasta
Sauces and Broths
- 🍅 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 🍅 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 cups beef broth
Dairy
- 🧀 6 ounces grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 🥛 ½ cup heavy cream
STEPS
Turn on Instant Pot® and select Saute function. Brown ground beef with Italian seasoning and kosher salt, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes.
Add chopped onion and saute until softened, approximately 5 minutes.
Add minced garlic and saute for 1 minute.
Stir in cavatelli pasta, both cans of tomato sauce, and beef broth. Close and lock the lid.
Select high pressure on Instant Pot®, set a timer for 6 minutes, and allow pressure to build for 10 to 15 minutes.
Once cooking is complete, let sit for 5 minutes with the lid closed. Quickly release pressure using the quick-release method for about 5 minutes.
Unlock and remove the lid. Stir in Cheddar cheese until melted. Mix in baby spinach until wilted, then add heavy cream.
Serve immediately.
