INGREDIENTS

Chocolate
- 3 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1 (6 ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
Wet Ingredients

- 1 ⅔ cups whipping cream, chilled
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup Irish whiskey
- 3 tablespoons instant coffee granules
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 tablespoons Irish whiskey
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ⅔ cups powdered sugar
- ⅔ cup butter, softened
STEPS
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C), prepare two 8-inch round cake pans, and place a mixing bowl in the freezer.
Mix dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, salt) in a bowl.
Melt unsweetened chocolate using a double boiler and let it cool.
Beat eggs until thick and lemon-colored.
Beat chilled whipping cream in the cold bowl until stiff and fold in other wet ingredients and dry mixture gradually.
Bake for 35-40 minutes. Cool cakes after baking.
Prepare coffee-whiskey mixture and pour it over cooled cake layers.
Mix ingredients for frosting and apply to the cake.
Melt chocolate chips and decorate the cake with piping designs.
