INGREDIENTS
Main
- 5g ito kanten
- 1/3 bunch chives
- 1 tbsp sakura ebi
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
Batter
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- đź’§ 2 tbsp water
- 🥚 1 egg
Sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
STEPS
Soak ito kanten in water to rehydrate, then drain. Cut chives into 4cm pieces.
Mix the batter ingredients (flour, potato starch, water, and egg) in a bowl.
Add the rehydrated ito kanten, chives, and sakura ebi to the batter and mix well.
Prepare the dipping sauce by mixing vinegar, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a container.
Heat sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Pour the batter into the pan and cook until golden brown. Flip and cook until fully cooked and golden on both sides. Cut into bite-sized pieces and serve with the dipping sauce.
