INGREDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 1 pack mackerel
Vegetables
- 🧅 1 stalk green onion
- 🧅 1/2 onion
Seasoning
- 2 tbsp flour
- 🧂 A sprinkle of pepper
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- 🧄 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
- 💧 1 cup water
STEPS
Cut the mackerel into thirds, make small slits, and pat dry with a paper towel. Sprinkle with pepper. To remove fishy smell, soak in rice water beforehand.
Place 2 tbsp flour in a plastic bag, add the mackerel, and shake to coat evenly.
Heat a pan with a small amount of oil and fry the mackerel until golden on both sides.
Combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, minced garlic, and water in a pan (excluding corn syrup) and bring to a boil.
Pour the sauce over the fried mackerel gradually and simmer until the fish is coated in a brown glaze.
Serve the mackerel teriyaki with hot rice for a perfect meal.
