INGREDIENTS
Chicken
- 🍗 2 bone-in chicken legs (760g)
Seasoning
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt and pepper
Coating
- 6 tbsp potato starch
Oil
- Enough salad oil for frying
Marinade
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- đź§„ 1/2 tsp grated garlic
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
STEPS
Pierce the chicken legs with a fork in several places and season with salt and pepper.
Mix the marinade ingredients (sake, soy sauce, garlic, ginger) in a tray and rub the chicken legs into the mixture. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Coat the chicken legs evenly with potato starch.
Heat salad oil in a pot to 170°C (340°F), ensuring about 3cm depth. Fry one chicken leg for 6 minutes, flip, and fry for another 4 minutes until cooked through. Repeat for the second leg.
