INGREDIENTS
Marinade
- 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sriracha hot sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 🍬 1/4 cup brown sugar
- đź§… 2 green onions, chopped
- đź§„ 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 1 pinch Chinese five-spice powder
Meat
- 2 pounds beef short ribs, 1/3-inch thick across the bones
STEPS
Whisk vinegar, soy sauce, sriracha hot sauce, olive oil, and brown sugar in a large bowl until sugar is dissolved.
Stir in green onions, garlic, black pepper, sesame seeds, ginger, and five-spice powder to create a marinade.
Place short ribs in a resealable bag, pour in marinade, coat the ribs, and squeeze out excess air before sealing the bag.
Marinate the ribs in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
Preheat grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
Remove ribs from the marinade and place them on the grill. Cook for 6 to 7 minutes per side.
Spoon marinade over the ribs while grilling. Turn heat to high for the final minute on each side and cook until done. Remove and rest for 5 minutes before serving.
