INGREDIENTS

- 1 (8 ounce) package large egg noodles

- 🥚 6 large eggs, separated
- 🍬 ½ cup white sugar
- 🧀 ¾ (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 🥛 4 tablespoons sour cream
- 🧀 1 (16 ounce) package cottage cheese, creamed
- 🧂 1 pinch salt
Topping
- 🧈 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 🍬 ¼ cup white sugar
- ⅓ cup graham cracker crumbs
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch glass baking dish.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook egg noodles until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and stir in 6 tablespoons of sliced butter.
Beat egg yolks, sugar, and cream cheese in a medium bowl. Stir the mixture into the noodles, then add sour cream, cottage cheese, and a pinch of salt.
Beat the egg whites until stiff and gently fold them into the mixture. Transfer everything to the greased baking dish.
Combine melted butter, ¼ cup sugar, and graham cracker crumbs in a small bowl. Sprinkle the mixture over the noodle casserole.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
