Heat salad oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the sticks seam-side down and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned. Rotate to cook evenly, then cover and cook on low heat for another 2–3 minutes.

Remove excess oil with a paper towel, add the seasoning ingredients, and simmer over medium heat until the sticks are evenly coated.
