INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredient
- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
Seasoning
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt and pepper
- đź§„ 1/2 tsp grated garlic
Sauce
- 2 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- đź’§ 2 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp cornstarch
STEPS
Prepare the chicken by making cuts in thick parts, piercing both sides with a fork, and seasoning with salt and pepper. Spread garlic on one side, roll tightly, and secure with toothpicks.
Mix all sauce ingredients in a microwave-safe container. Add the chicken, coat well, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 5 minutes.
Turn the chicken over, coat with sauce again, cover loosely, and microwave for another 3 minutes. Let it rest for 5 minutes with the wrap still on.
Remove toothpicks, slice into bite-sized pieces, and serve on a plate.
