INGREDIENTS
Base
- 24 (3 inch) frozen tart shells, thawed
Protein
- 🥓 6 slices bacon, or more to taste
Dairy
- 🧀 1 ¼ cups shredded Swiss cheese, divided (Optional)
- 🥛 1 ¼ cups milk
Vegetable
- 2 green onions, diced
Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 🧂 ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Eggs
- 🥚 4 large eggs
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and arrange tart shells in two 12-cup muffin tins. Line each shell with pie weights or dried beans.
Bake in the oven until crust edges are lightly browned and shells are 3/4 cooked, for 5 to 10 minutes. Remove and let them sit.
Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crispy, about 7 to 10 minutes. Drain and crumble when cooled.
In a bowl, mix 1 cup of Swiss cheese, green onions, and crumbled bacon. Evenly divide this mixture among tart shells.
Whisk together milk, eggs, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in another bowl. Pour the mixture into tart shells until about 2/3 full. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup Swiss cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes until set in the middle and shells are golden brown.
