INGREDIENTS
Yeast Mixture
- 2 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
- 🍚 1/3 cup white sugar
- 💧 2 cups warm water (110°F / 45°C)
Dough
- 🧂 1 tablespoon salt
- 6 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 🥚 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
Filling
- 🍚 1/2 cup white sugar
- 🌰 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
STEPS
Dissolve yeast and 1/3 cup sugar in warm water in a large mixing bowl. Stir in salt and 2 cups flour. Beat for 2 minutes. Beat in eggs and oil. Gradually add remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place dough in a lightly oiled large bowl. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 40 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup sugar with 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Divide dough into 12 pieces. Roll each into a log and coat with cinnamon sugar mixture. Arrange in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 40 minutes.
