INGREDIENTS
Udon
- 2 frozen udon noodles
Meat
- 150g thinly sliced pork belly
Vegetables
- đź§… 1 green onion (165g), cut into 3cm pieces
Oil
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Dipping Sauce
- đź§‚ 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- đź’§ 400ml water
STEPS
Cut the green onion into 3cm pieces.
Slice the pork belly into bite-sized pieces.
Heat salad oil in a pot over medium heat, add green onion, and cook until browned. Add pork and stir-fry until the color changes.
Add the dipping sauce ingredients (sugar, sake, mirin, soy sauce, dashi powder, and water) to the pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat, skim off any foam, cover, and simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
In a separate pot, boil water and cook frozen udon according to package instructions. Rinse under cold water and drain.
Serve the cooked udon and dipping sauce in separate bowls.
