INGREDIENTS
Crust
- 1 1/2 cups OREO crumbs
- 1/3 cup roasted hazelnuts
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- 🧂 1 pinch salt
- 🧈 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Filling
- 🧀 16 ounces cream cheese
- 🧂 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 🧂 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg
- 🥛 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 🍋 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/2 cup Nutella
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a 9x9-inch square pan with parchment paper and leave overhang on all sides.
Combine OREO crumbs, chopped hazelnuts, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt in a food processor. Pulse until finely ground.
Add melted butter to the crumb mixture and pulse until evenly moistened. Press mixture into the prepared pan to create a firm crust.
Bake the crust in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove and allow to cool for 10 more minutes while keeping the oven on.
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, white sugar, vanilla, salt, and nutmeg with an electric mixer until smooth. Add heavy cream and lemon juice; beat until combined.
Add the egg to the cream cheese mixture and mix until just incorporated. Pour the batter over the crust, spreading it evenly.
Microwave Nutella for about 30 seconds until softened. Place dollops of Nutella over the cheesecake filling and gently swirl with a knife.
Tap the pan to settle the batter. Bake the bars until the edges turn golden and the center slightly jiggles (35-40 minutes).
Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully chilled. Cut into 16 bars.
