INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 🌾 ½ cup quick cooking oats
- 🧂 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
Wet Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) container low-fat sour cream
- 🥛 ¾ cup skim milk
- 🍯 2 tablespoons honey
- 🧂 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 🧈 ¼ cup butter, melted
- 🧈 2 tablespoons butter, melted
STEPS
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, mix together flour, ½ cup oats, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
In another bowl, mix sour cream, milk, honey, and sugar. Add to the flour mixture and mix just until blended. Stir in melted butter.
Turn dough onto a lightly sprayed baking sheet. Shape into a round circle about 8 inches in diameter. Brush the top with melted butter and sprinkle with remaining oats. Score the top into quarters with a knife.
Bake for about 40 minutes until browned. Cool completely before slicing.
