INGREDIENTS

- 🐙 200g boiled octopus
Vegetables
- 5 taro roots, peeled
Condiments
- 2 tbsp miso paste
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 2 tsp sugar
- 1/3 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 💧 200ml water
STEPS
Cut the boiled octopus into bite-sized pieces. Peel the taro roots and cut them into bite-sized pieces. Rub the taro with a pinch of salt, rinse with water, and drain. Place the taro in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 3 minutes.
In a pot, combine the taro and the ingredients marked with ☆. Mix well, cover with a lid, and simmer over medium-low heat for 15 minutes.
Add the octopus and miso paste to the pot, mix well, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
