INGREDIENTS
Seafood
- 🐙 50g boiled octopus, diced
Vegetables
- 🥬 80g cabbage, diced
- 🧅 4 stalks green onion, sliced

- 3 tbsp tempura flakes
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Batter
- 🥚 1 egg
- 💧 50cc water
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 🌾 50g all-purpose flour
Toppings
- Okonomiyaki sauce, as needed
- Mayonnaise, as needed
- Aonori (seaweed flakes), as needed
- Bonito flakes, as needed
STEPS
Dice the cabbage into 1cm squares. Slice the green onions into 5mm pieces.
Dice the boiled octopus into 1cm squares.
In a bowl, mix the batter ingredients (egg, water, dashi powder, and flour) thoroughly.
Add the cabbage, green onions, tempura flakes, and diced octopus to the batter. Mix well.
Heat a frying pan with salad oil over medium heat. Pour the batter into the pan and cook for about 4 minutes on medium-low heat until golden brown.
Flip the pancake, cover with a lid, and cook on low heat for about 6 minutes until fully cooked.
Serve on a plate and top with okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, aonori, and bonito flakes.
