INGREDIENTS
Rice
- 🍚 2 bowls cooked rice (400g)
Main
- 4 pieces fried tofu (80g)
- 🌰 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
Inari Seasoning
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 2 tbsp sugar
- đź§‚ 2 tbsp soy sauce
- đź’§ 100 ml water
Sushi Rice Seasoning
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- đź§‚ 1/2 tsp salt
STEPS
Prepare the fried tofu by pressing it between paper towels to remove excess oil. Cut each piece in half along the longer side and open into a pouch. Add the tofu and inari seasoning ingredients to a pot, heat over medium until boiling, then reduce to low and simmer for 10 minutes with a lid. Flip the tofu and let cool.
Mix the sushi rice seasoning ingredients in a bowl. Add the cooked rice and sesame seeds, mixing gently to combine. Divide into 8 portions and shape into small oblongs.
Squeeze excess liquid from the tofu pouches and fill each with a portion of sushi rice. Fold the open end to seal. Repeat for all 8 pieces.
