INGREDIENTS
Okonomiyaki Chicken
- 🍗 100g chicken thigh
- 2 tbsp okonomiyaki sauce
- Bonito flakes as needed
Broccoli with Sesame Dressing
- 🥦 4 small florets broccoli
- 1 tbsp sesame dressing
Japanese Scrambled Egg
- 🥚 1 egg
- 1 tbsp chopped green onion
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp concentrated mentuyu
STEPS
Cut the chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces.
Mix chicken and okonomiyaki sauce in a microwave-safe container, place skin-side down, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 3–4 minutes. Let rest for 10 minutes to cool.
Wash broccoli lightly and place in a microwave-safe container while still wet. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 600W for 50 seconds.
Let broccoli cool, then mix with sesame dressing.
In a microwave-safe container, beat the egg and mix with mayonnaise, mentuyu, and green onion.
Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 600W for 1 minute. Stir quickly, cover again, and microwave for another minute to create scrambled eggs.
Assemble the bento by placing all components together and sprinkle bonito flakes over the chicken.
