INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients

- ¾ cup white sugar
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

STEPS
Gather all ingredients and preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
Beat butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl until creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 9 to 11 minutes, switching racks halfway through.
Cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
