STEPS
Rinse the oysters in salted water (not listed in ingredients), then pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.
Cut the garlic clove in half lengthwise, remove the germ, and crush it with a knife. Halve the dried chilies and remove the seeds.
Place the oysters, salt, garlic, bay leaves, and chilies in a pot. Add enough olive oil to submerge the oysters. Heat over low heat for 15–20 minutes until the oysters are cooked through.
Transfer the cooked oysters and oil into a container. Once cooled, cover and refrigerate overnight.
