INGREDIENTS
Rice
- 🍚 2 cups soaked rice
Seafood
- 🦪 100g cooking oysters
Vegetables
- 1 piece sliced ginger
Liquid
- đź’§ Enough water to fill rice cooker
Seasoning
- 2 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- đź§‚ 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp soy sauce
STEPS
Wash the oysters thoroughly to remove dirt and drain. Slice the ginger thinly and soak in water, then drain.
In a pot, heat the seasoning ingredients (sake, mirin, salt, soy sauce) until simmering. Add the oysters and cook on low heat for about 5 minutes. Separate the oysters and the broth, then let them cool.
Add the soaked rice, oyster broth, and enough water to reach the 2-cup mark in the rice cooker. Mix well and cook as usual.
Once the rice is cooked, add the cooked oysters on top and let it steam for 10 minutes with the lid closed. Mix gently and serve with sliced ginger on top.
