INGREDIENTS
Base Ingredients
- 🧈 ½ cup butter, softened
- 🍚 ½ cup white sugar
- 🍯 ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 🥜 ⅓ cup peanut butter
- 🥚 1 egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 🌾 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 🧂 ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup rolled oats
Toppings
- 🍫 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 🍚 ½ cup confectioners' sugar
- 🥜 ¼ cup peanut butter
- 🥛 3 tablespoons milk
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
Beat butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Add ⅓ cup peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing well. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Add rolled oats and spread the mixture into the prepared pan.
Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until edges are firm. Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over the top, let stand for 5 minutes, then spread evenly over the surface. Let cool completely.
Mix confectioners' sugar and ¼ cup peanut butter until smooth. Gradually add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, to reach drizzling consistency. Drizzle over the chocolate layer. Cut into bars.
