INGREDIENTS
Dry Ingredients
- 🍚 2 cups white sugar
- 🌾 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 🧂 ¼ teaspoon salt
- 🥜 ⅓ cup finely chopped peanuts
Wet Ingredients
- 🧈 1 ¼ cups butter, softened
- 🥚 6 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 🥜 ½ cup creamy peanut butter
STEPS
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 10-inch tube pan by greasing, flouring, and lining with parchment paper.
Combine sugar and butter in a large bowl, beating until light and creamy using an electric mixer. Gradually beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract. Slowly mix in peanut butter.
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully blended. Pour batter into the prepared tube pan.
Bake in preheated oven until golden, approximately 45 minutes. Sprinkle chopped peanuts on top and reduce oven temperature to 325°F (165°C). Continue baking for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack and cool completely.
