INGREDIENTS
Meat
- 8 slices thinly sliced pork belly
Vegetables
- 4 bell peppers, halved and sliced
Seasoning
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp potato starch
Oil
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- đź§„ 1/2 tsp grated garlic
STEPS
Season pork belly slices with salt and pepper, then lightly coat with potato starch.
Cut bell peppers in half, remove seeds and stems, then slice thinly.
Place 1/8 of the sliced bell peppers on one end of each pork belly slice and roll tightly. Repeat for all slices.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the rolls seam-side down and cook until browned on all sides.
Add the sauce ingredients (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, garlic) to the pan and cook, turning the rolls occasionally, until the sauce thickens and coats the rolls.
