INGREDIENTS
Vegetables

- 300g pork jowl
Seasonings
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 tbsp mirin
- 4 tbsp corn syrup
- đź§„ 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 6 tbsp water
- đź§‚ Pinch of salt
- Pinch of pepper
STEPS
Thinly slice 1/2 onion and 1/3 green onion. Adjust quantity to taste.
Soak sliced onion and green onion in water to remove sharpness. Rinse several times in cold water before use.
Pan-fry pork jowl with a pinch of salt and pepper until golden brown.
Place cooked pork jowl on paper towels to remove excess grease.
Prepare the sauce: Combine soy sauce, mirin, corn syrup, minced garlic, oyster sauce, vinegar, and water in a pot. Bring to a boil.
Add pork jowl to the boiling sauce and simmer until the sauce is absorbed.
Serve: Place cooked rice in a bowl, top with sliced onion and green onion, and add the pork jowl with sauce.
