INGREDIENTS
Meat
- 250g thinly sliced pork
Dairy
- 🧀 2 slices of cheese
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- Adequate amount of potato starch
Cooking Liquid
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1/2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 🧈 10g salted butter
STEPS
Spread plastic wrap and layer pork slices slightly overlapping.
Sprinkle salt, pepper, and potato starch over the pork.
Place cheese on top, fold the sides, and roll tightly from one end.
Sprinkle salt, pepper, and potato starch on both sides of the roll.
Heat salad oil in a pan over medium heat and place the roll.
Once browned, flip, add sake, cover, and steam on low heat for 5–6 minutes.
Flip again, cover, and steam on low heat for another 4–5 minutes. Remove and cut into bite-sized pieces.
Mix sake, vinegar, soy sauce, and sugar in a bowl.
Pour the sauce mixture into the pan, add butter, and heat until thickened.
Plate the pork pieces and drizzle the sauce over them.
