- 🧂 1 ½ cups white sugar
- 🟤 ¾ cup brown sugar
- 🥛 ½ cup milk
- 🧈 ⅜ cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
STEPS
Gather all ingredients. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Combine pecans, white sugar, brown sugar, milk, butter, and vanilla in a large saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil. Do not stir once mixture begins to boil. 💡 Make sure to use a candy thermometer to accurately measure the temperature of the mixture.Do not stir the mixture once it begins to boil, as this can cause the sugar to crystallize.Toasting the pecans ahead of time enhances their flavor and adds a deeper nutty taste to the pralines.
