- 1/8 teaspoon food coloring
- 🧀 1/4 cup cream cheese
Whipped Topping
- 🥛 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon confectioners sugar
- 🧀 1 tablespoon cream cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
STEPS
Whisk together milk, cream, and egg yolks in a saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly over medium heat, until the mixture is hot and steamy (approximately 160°F or 71°C).
Remove from heat, add chocolate, and let sit for 2 minutes before stirring. Add salt, vanilla, and food coloring.
Add cream cheese and mix until smooth using a whisk or stick blender.
Transfer mixture into serving glasses or jars. Tap gently to remove air bubbles, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until firm (at least 2 hours or overnight).
For whipped topping, whisk heavy cream, confectioners sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla until medium-stiff peaks form. Pipe or spoon over chilled pots de crème. Dust lightly with cocoa powder before serving.
