INGREDIENTS
Crescents
- 2 (8-count) cans crescent rolls
Meat
- 8 thin slices pastrami or corned beef
Cheese
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
Vegetable
- 1 cup sauerkraut
- 2 teaspoons caraway seeds
Condiments
- 8 teaspoons thousand island salad dressing
Others
- 🥚 1 large egg, beaten
STEPS
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
Separate crescent rolls into 16 triangles, laying them on a work surface with the thin points facing away.
Cut pastrami or corned beef slices diagonally into 16 triangles. Similarly, cut Swiss cheese into 16 triangles.
Place a triangle of meat on each crescent dough triangle, followed by a triangle of Swiss cheese.
Add 1 tablespoon of sauerkraut and 1/2 teaspoon Thousand Island dressing to each crescent triangle near the wide end.
Roll each crescent from the wide end to the narrow point, keeping the filling inside, and place them on the prepared pan.
Brush the crescent rolls with beaten egg and sprinkle with caraway seeds.
Bake the crescent rolls for 21 to 25 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
Cool the rolls on a rack for 3 to 5 minutes and serve warm.
