INGREDIENTS
Bread
- 🍞 2 slices thick-cut bread
Fish
- 1 can (190g) canned saba in water
Vegetables
- 🥬 2 leaves lettuce (60g)
- 🍅 1/2 tomato (100g)
Condiments
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tsp mustard
- đź§‚ 1 pinch salt
- A dash of pepper
STEPS
Cut the bread slices in half and create a pocket by slicing into the cut edge.
Tear the lettuce into quarters and slice the tomato into 1cm thick vertical slices.
Mix the canned saba with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl to create saba mayo.
Toast the bread pockets in a frying pan over medium heat for 1–2 minutes until golden brown. Flip and toast the other side for 20–30 seconds.
Fill each toasted bread pocket with lettuce, saba mayo, and tomato slices. Repeat to make 4 sandwiches.
