INGREDIENTS
Meat
- 200g thinly sliced pork belly
Vegetables
- 🥔 2 potatoes (300g), cut into large chunks
- 🥕 1/3 carrot, cut into chunks
- đź§… 1 onion (100g), cut into wedges
- 3 snow peas, trimmed and halved
Seasoning
- đź§‚ 1/3 tsp salt
- 1 tsp salad oil
Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- đź’§ 200cc water
STEPS
Cut potatoes into large chunks and soak in water. Drain. Cut carrots into chunks and onions into wedges.
Trim snow peas and cut diagonally into halves. Microwave with 1 tbsp water for 30 seconds at 600W. Cool.
Cut pork belly into bite-sized pieces.
Heat salad oil in a pan over medium heat. Add pork and stir-fry for 2 minutes until color changes. Add potatoes and stir until coated with oil. Add carrots and onions, stir until onions soften.
Add sauce ingredients and bring to a boil. Skim off foam, cover, and simmer on low heat for 8-10 minutes. Add salt, cover, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Serve on a plate and garnish with snow peas.
