INGREDIENTS

- 🧈 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, or as needed
- 🥜 1 ½ cups peanut butter
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 🍬 1 cup white sugar
- 🍚 6 cups crisp rice cereal
- 🍫 ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup butterscotch chips
STEPS
Generously butter a 9x13-inch baking pan and set it aside.
Mix peanut butter, corn syrup, and sugar in a large pot and cook over medium heat, stirring until the peanut butter melts. Bring the mixture to a boil and then remove it from heat.
Stir in crisp rice cereal until well combined.
Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Use buttered hands to pat it down evenly.
Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips together in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring until smooth.
Spread the melted mixture evenly over the top of the bars.
Let the bars cool completely for about 20 minutes before cutting into 24 squares.
