INGREDIENTS
Meatball Ingredients
- 🥩 200g ground beef
- 🍄 4 shiitake mushrooms, chopped
- 🧅 1/2 onion, chopped
- 🥚 1 egg
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- 🧂 Salt and pepper to taste
Tomato Sauce
- 🍅 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- 🧂 Pepper to taste
- 💧 100ml water
- 🌿 Chopped parsley to garnish
Filling
- 🧀 2 pieces cream cheese, quartered
STEPS
Chop shiitake mushrooms and onion finely. Quarter the cream cheese.
Mix all meatball ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
Divide the mixture into 8 portions, flatten each, place cream cheese in the center, and shape into balls.
Heat all tomato sauce ingredients in a pot over medium heat until boiling. Add the meatballs, cover, and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
Stir gently and simmer for another 5 minutes. Serve on a plate and garnish with parsley.
