INGREDIENTS
Vegetables
- 350g Chinese cabbage
- 4 shiitake mushrooms
- 1 piece julienned ginger
Seafood
- š¦ 200g shrimp with shells
Oil
- 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
Liquid
- 1 tbsp water
Broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2/3 tsp chicken stock powder
- š§ 1/4 tsp salt
Thickener
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp water
Seasoning
- š§ Pinch of salt
- 1/2 tbsp sake
- 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
STEPS
Prepare the shrimp by peeling and deveining them. Season with a pinch of salt, sake, and cornstarch.
Heat sesame oil in a pan and sautƩ ginger until fragrant.
Add shrimp and stir-fry until they turn pink. Remove and set aside.
Add Chinese cabbage and shiitake mushrooms to the pan. Stir-fry briefly.
Pour in the broth mixture (water, sake, chicken stock powder, salt) and simmer until vegetables are tender.
Return shrimp to the pan and mix well.
Add the cornstarch slurry (cornstarch and water) to thicken the sauce.
Serve hot with steamed rice.
