INGREDIENTS
Wrapper
- 12 shumai wrappers
Seafood
- 🦐 6 peeled shrimp (60g)
Meat
- 120g ground pork
Vegetables
- 🌽 30g whole corn
- 🟢 30g green peas
- Cabbage, as needed
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt
- Pinch of cornstarch for shrimp
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp sake
☆ Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 🧂 Pinch of salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 🍬 1/2 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp sake
- Dash of soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp oyster sauce
STEPS
Prepare the shrimp by removing the vein, rubbing with salt and cornstarch, rinsing, and patting dry. Cut into 1cm pieces.
Mix corn, green peas, and 2 tbsp of cornstarch in a bowl.
In another bowl, combine ground pork, shrimp, and ☆ seasonings. Mix well.
Add the vegetable mixture to the pork mixture and combine thoroughly. Divide into 12 portions and wrap with shumai wrappers.
Line a heatproof container with cabbage and pour sake underneath. Arrange shumai slightly apart, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 5 minutes until cooked.
