INGREDIENTS
Vegetables
- 1/2 burdock root
- 150g konjac
Oil
- 2 tsp sesame oil
Seasoning
- to taste white sesame seeds
- to taste shichimi togarashi
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
STEPS
Scrape off the skin of the burdock root with the back of a knife, slice thinly at an angle, and soak in water. Drain well.
Tear the konjac into bite-sized pieces. Boil the konjac in water for 3 minutes and drain.
Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add burdock and konjac, stir-frying until coated with oil. Add sake, mirin, and soy sauce, bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.
Remove the lid and stir over medium heat until the liquid evaporates. Serve on a plate and sprinkle with white sesame seeds and shichimi togarashi.
