INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🐟 1 fillet mackerel
- 10g dried hijiki
- 🥕 1/3 carrot, julienned
- 🧂 Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Seasonings
- 2 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp dashi powder
- 💧 100ml water
STEPS
Cut the mackerel into bite-sized pieces, sprinkle with salt, and let sit for 10 minutes. Pat dry with kitchen paper.
Julienne the carrot and soak the dried hijiki in water to rehydrate. Drain well.
Heat salad oil in a pot over medium heat, add the carrot, and stir-fry until coated with oil.
Add the mackerel and hijiki, stir briefly, then add the seasonings. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes until the mackerel is cooked through.
