INGREDIENTS
Main
- 🍗 100g ground chicken (thigh)
- 200g frozen taro
- 1 tsp salad oil
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 💧 200ml water
Thickening
- 1/2 tbsp potato starch
- 💧 1 tbsp water
Topping
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, as needed
STEPS
Heat salad oil in a pot over medium heat and add ground chicken. Stir-fry until the chicken changes color.
Add all seasoning ingredients (marked ☆) to the pot and bring to a boil. Add frozen taro and bring to a boil again. Cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
Mix potato starch with water to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the pot and cook over medium heat, stirring until the sauce thickens.
Serve the dish in a bowl and garnish with chopped green onion.
