INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 🥩 1 pound lean ground beef
- 🧅 1 cup chopped onion
- 🧄 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans
- 🍅 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes

- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
- 🧂 Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
STEPS
Heat vegetable oil in a 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, stirring, until browned and crumbly, approximately 7 to 10 minutes.
Add chopped onion and garlic to the saucepan. Cook until the onion becomes translucent, about 5 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in kidney beans, crushed tomatoes, chili powder, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Reduce the heat, cover the saucepan, and allow the chili to simmer for 30 minutes.
