INGREDIENTS
Rice
- 🍚 1 cup washed rice
Protein
- 🍗 125g chicken breast
Spices
- 2 slices ginger
Liquid
- đź’§ Enough water to cook rice
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- đź§‚ 1/2 tsp salt
- A pinch of pepper
Sauce
- 🍬 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
STEPS
Slice the ginger into thin strips.
Add washed rice, seasoning ingredients (sake, salt, pepper), and water to the rice cooker up to the 1-cup mark. Mix well, flatten the rice, place sliced ginger on top, and lay chicken breast over it. Cook using the regular rice setting.
In a bowl, mix the sauce ingredients (sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, grated ginger) thoroughly.
Once the rice is cooked, remove the chicken breast and gently mix the rice. Slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
Serve the rice and chicken on a plate, and drizzle the sauce over the top.
