INGREDIENTS
Base
- 1 (9 inch) pie crust pastry
Filling
- 🐟 8 ounces smoked salmon, broken into small pieces
- 5 ounces cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon dill (optional)
- 🥚 8 eggs
- 🥛 ¾ cup milk
- 🧂 Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- 1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
STEPS
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Press pie crust pastry into a pie dish.
Bake the pie crust in the preheated oven until lightly golden, approximately 10 to 12 minutes.
Arrange smoked salmon evenly over the baked pie crust. Spread cream cheese over the salmon layer using your hands. Optionally sprinkle dill over the cream cheese layer.
In a bowl, beat eggs, milk, salt, and pepper together. Pour this mixture over the cream cheese layer just below the crust edge. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the egg layer.
Bake in the preheated oven until the quiche is set, and the middle has risen, approximately 40 to 50 minutes.
Cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
