STEPS
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 5x9-inch loaf pan.
Mash 2 bananas in a bowl and set aside. In a separate bowl, beat the remaining 2 bananas with 1 cup sugar until creamed and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Mix melted butter, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract with the creamed banana-sugar mixture until thoroughly combined.
Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl. Gradually stir flour mixture into the wet mixture. Fold in mashed bananas and walnuts, then pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Combine 2 teaspoons sugar with cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle the mixture over the top of the batter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
